A vulnerable look from inside a fringe community most people would deem to be a cult, The Path, is a psychological drama where every performance hinges on the point of a knife. Go too Jim Jones, and you risk alienating the audience. Thankfully and so far, the show manages to draw us in and create relatable characters in an extremely hypersensitive world. Shot beautifully, fans of, "Breaking Bad", will get to see, Aaron Paul, as a family man and "Hannibal" fans will watch, Hugh Dancy, push even further into a dark and deeply flawed character. A Hulu original series, S1 is now available for streaming.
Better Things, is a straight up gem. The audience is treated to this teeny, tiny glimps into the lives of a very eclectic family that includes, a single mother/actress (Pamela Adlon), her three daughters, her hysterically alcoholic mother and a troupe of close actor/writer friends. If this sounds like it's too much, trust me, it's not nearly enough. So far every episode leaves me wanting more. Show airs Thurs on FX.
SO...the devil is...changing? AKA, the premise of new Fox show, Lucifer. I imagine somewhere in the casting notes for title character, the role called for a dark and beautiful man. If Tom Ellis is nothing else, he's certainly that. SIII-II-II-ZZLE.
I'm just gonna say it. There is nothing super about Supergirl. For me the show unwinds in a completely predictible fashion. The characters are pure bubble gum and the plots are completely without sophistication.
Violet: "You are quite wonderful the way you see room for improvement
wherever you look. I never knew such reforming zeal.
Isobel: I take that as a compliment.
Violet: I must've said it wrong."
"D'Angelo: All my people, man, my father, my uncles, It's just what we do. You just live with this shit, until you can't breathe no more. I swear to God, I was courtside for eight months, and I was freer in jail than I was at home.
D'Angelo: I want what Wallace wanted. I want to start over. That's what I want. I don't care where. Anywhere. I don't give a fuck. I just want to go somewhere, where I can breathe like regular folk. You give me that... And I'll give you them."
Sarah: "Something really weird just happened at the train station.
Sarah: I saw a girl kill herself.
Felix: Eeww. A jumper?
Sarah: Yeah, and she looked exactly like me, Felix"
Stiles: "So, you bit him.
Stiles: And you kidnapped him.
Stiles: And you brought him here.
Scott: I panicked!
Stiles: Yup. This isn't going to end with us burying the pieces of his body out in the desert, is it?
As a reminder, this is why I always come up with the plans. Your plans suck."
